North Queensferry
North Queensferry sits in a dramatic location between the two Forth Bridges. Visitors can enjoy an interesting walk down to the pier to view the bridges, and will pass a number of old cottages and buildings on the way, some with traditional Fife forestairs. North Queensferry is also home to one of Scotland's most popular visitor attractions, Deep Sea World.
Edinburgh
Northcliff is well placed for holidaymakers visiting Edinburgh.
Edinburgh is Scotland's vibrant capital, home of the Scottish Parliament, famous for its history and its universities. Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, the Royal Mile, the Edinburgh International Festival, Festival Fringe and Military Tattoo all make Edinburgh a very special place to visit.
The city's attractions are many, and include a host of fine museums and galleries, among them the acclaimed Royal Museum of Scotland. Other highlights include the Royal Yacht Britannia, the Royal Botanic Garden, and shopping in Princes Street.
Fife
In Fife, you can visit St Andrews, world famous as the home of golf, but there are many more attractions to tempt you.
Close to Northcliff, you can visit Scotland's ancient capital at Dunfermline and the conservation village of Culross.
The fishing villages, picturesque harbours and sandy coves of the East Neuk draw visitors through their considerable charm, and there are castles, gardens and local museums throughout Fife to ensure your days are filled.
Perthshire
Highland Perthshire is also within easy reach for a day trip, with the likes of Dunkeld, Aberfeldy and Pitlochry all very well worth a visit. The Fair City of Perth offers excellent shopping and an impressive new concert hall.
