Northcliff
overlooks the historic South Fife fishing village of North Queensferry and the famous
Forth Bridges.
As its name suggests, North Queensferry lies at the northern end of the traditional ferry crossing from Edinburgh, Scotland's capital, to the Kingdom of Fife. Ferries have taken passengers across the River Forth at this point for many centuries, among them Queen Margaret, later Saint Margaret, who is thought to have established the first ferry link in the 11th century.
